What happens, and when
A draft is how the teams in this season are filled. Everyone who registers goes into one pool, and the team captains take turns choosing from it until every team is full.
This draft is held on Sunday, 27 September 2026 at 18:00.
Every team ends this draft with 8 players.
Nothing starts by itself. The draft opens when the organisers press Start, which may be a few minutes after the announced time.
How captains choose
The organisers put everyone who registered into a rank tier, strongest first. A team may take one player from each tier, so every squad ends up with the same spread of ability.
Captains take turns in a set order, and the order reverses each round, so whoever picks last in one round picks first in the next. A team that already has players uses up its first picks on them, so it starts choosing later.
You cannot choose your own team, and you cannot be picked by two teams.
What to do before the day
Register for the season, and pay the entry fee if there is one. Only registered players go into the pool.
Then say when you can play: the days of the week that suit you, and any weeks you are away. Captains read it while they pick, so a filled-in answer helps you land on a team whose matches you can actually make.
Nobody is left out for saying nothing. An unanswered question shows as unanswered, never as unavailable.
Watching it happen
You do not have to do anything on the day. The draft board shows the pool, each team filling up, and every pick as it lands.
Anyone with the link can watch this draft on the draft board, whether or not they are in the season.
A captain has 90 seconds to make each pick. Nothing happens when the time runs out: the organisers are told, and the captain still picks.
When a team picks you
You are told the moment it happens, with the captain's name and the team's. If the organisers correct a pick afterwards, you are told that too, in plain words.
When the draft is over you are told which team you are on. What you said about when you can play is carried across to that team's matches, marked as coming from your sign-up until you change it.
If nobody picks you
You become a reserve. You stay registered, and the league's organisers can still put you on a team later if a place comes up.
It is worth telling them you are still keen. Reserves are placed by the organisers, never claimed by a captain.
